Bluffton spikes Red Devils

The visiting Bluffton volleyball team won a four-set non-league match at Arlington Tuesday night, September 7.

The Pirate girls improved to 4-2 after the 25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-14 victory. The Lady Red Devils fell to 1-5 with the defeat.

Senior middle hitter Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirates with 26 kills and two blocks. Freshman middle Ayla Grandey knocked down a dozen kills. 

Bluffton setter Skyler Scoles passed out 50 assists. Senior Kylie Monday came up with 11 digs and served four aces. Senior libero Sophie Bricker added seven digs. 

Arlington won the JV match, 2-0.

Bluffton hosts local rival Cory-Rawson (1-3) Thursday, Sept. 9 in a non-league match. The Pirate girls entertain North Baltimore (3-4), another BVC foe, on Sept. 13.
