United Way of Greater Lima sets goal to increase donations
The United Way of Greater Lima kicked off their 2021 annual campaign by asking the community to be “100% All In” for the community. The goal is to raise an additional $100,000 in response to increased community needs.
The 2020 greater Lima campaign (including Bluffton) secured enough donations to award local non-profits with $1.35 million. United Way of Greater Lima was able to support 38 programs provided by 33 Community Partners, in addition to funding 13 additional special projects and services. The organization distributed $115,165 in COVID relief to local nonprofits.
Derek Stemen, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Lima said, “This past year was extremely tough. For many of us, it was about simply trying to survive. We believe that the time has come to move forward; to move from just surviving to truly thriving. Just think what we could accomplish if the community was ‘100% All In’ for the new campaign.”
