Roger Gordon was a nurse
Roger Alan Gordon, 57, passed away October 28, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System. Roger was born May 7, 1964 in Warren, Ohio to Philip and Hazel (Kiser) Gordon. On October 6, 1990 he married Rhonda Koontz Gordon.
Roger graduated from Bath High School and received an associate's degree in nursing from Lima Technical College. He had worked at Lima Memorial Hospital, St. Rita's Medical Center, and various nursing homes and was a traveling nurse. Roger attended Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge of Ohio and the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club. Roger enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, fishing and was an avid fan of Ford Mustangs and firearms.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Gordon of Bluffton; two children, Kimberly Gordon of Bowling Green and Daniel Gordon of Bluffton; his parents, Philip and Hazel Gordon of Waynesfield; a brother, Ryan Gordon of Columbus; a sister, Annette (Thad Howell) Gordon of Paola, Kansas; three nephews, Ian and Aiden Howell of Paola, Kansas and Matt Gordon of Columbus; his father and mother-in-law, Russell and Ruth Koontz of Bluffton and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Pastor Jim King officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at Ebenezer Mennonite Church.
