Bluffton University launches search for new head football coach

Bluffton University is launching a search for a new head coach for the football program. Aaron Krepps’ position as head football coach was not renewed after serving in that role for four seasons.

“After four seasons we have not seen significant success on the field or in the direction of the program,” said Phill Talavinia, vice president for student life and athletics. “I want to thank Coach Krepps for his leadership with the football team over the last four seasons and wish him and his family all the best.”

Coach DeVan Hill will step into the role of interim director of football operations and will lead the team during the transition. All assistant coaches and graduate assistants have been invited to remain with the team until a new head coach is hired. Bluffton will run a confidential search process to encourage currently employed coaches to be considered as candidates. Bluffton University is dedicated to finding an experienced coach for Bluffton football that will be fully committed to the culture of Bluffton athletics, student-athletes and the success of the team.
