Donald E. Williams was a minister
Donald E. Williams, 85, of Findlay, died Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Lima, to Joseph Solomon and Mary Christine (Heath) Williams.
Don married Carol Ann Bassitt Sept. 2, 1954, and she survives in Findlay. They were married for over 67 years.
Don is also survived by three children, Cheryl (Bryan) Klakamp of Findlay, Thomas (Sherry) Williams of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Jeffery (Christine) Williams of Wilberforce; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Klakamp, Gabrielle Klakamp, Galen Klakamp, Dustin Williams, Shane Williams, Brittany Williams-Hysell, and Spencer Williams; stepgranddaughter, Christy (Greg) Port; six great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Ward of Lima; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Williams; two infant sons; grandson, Gabriel Klakamp; brother, Joe S. Williams; and sister, Mary Jo Segovia.
Don graduated from South High School, Lima, in 1954, He was employed by Excello/Air Foil Textron, Lima, for 41 years. He retired in 1995 to serve as a full-time minister in the public witnessing work of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He served as an elder in Lima and Findlay congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses up until his death.
Don's memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022. A private burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
