Pirate spikers ground T-Birds

LIMA⎯The visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team swept Lima Central Catholic in a non-league match Tuesday evening, September 12.
The Lady Pirates improved to 7-2 with the 25-12, 25-20, 25-17 triumph. LCC fell to 2-9 with the loss.
- Ayla Grandey led the victors with 18 kills and two blocks
- Kendall Stackhouse knocked down seven kills
- Kaylee Kinsinger added five kills
- Gracie Yarnell dished out 23 assists and made one block
- Avery Talavinia mustered up 20 digs and dealt a pair of aces
- Olivia Hobensack passed out 11 assists
- Olivia Siferd added a pair of blocks
- Morgan Fruchey contributed a dozen digs
The Pirates also won the junior varsity match in straight sets.
Bluffton (6-1 road) plays at league foe Delphos Jefferson (3-6, 1-0 NWC) Thursday, Sept. 15 in the conference opener. Delphos Jefferson swept rival Spencerville Tuesday in their NWC lidlifter.
