Bluffton Univ. women's golf Meadville recap
MEADVILLE, Penn.--The Bluffton University women capped off a superb weekend of golf at the Country Club of Meadville on Monday, Sept. 26. A 342 on day two following a 343 on Sunday added up (685) to the 2nd best score in school history!
Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) followed up her 79 with an 80. Waggener's 159 for the weekend broke the school record of fellow sophomore Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) by five strokes! Cline was looking to move to the top of the charts herself for 18 holes and came up just two strokes off the mark with a 77 on Monday. Kline's 163 also bested her former school record of 164 set earlier this year. Waggener finished the tournament in 7th place.
Senior Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) chipped in with a 90, while Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) and Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) rounded out the Guy and Jeanie Kuhn Memorial with scores of 95 and 99, respectively.
The Bluffton women will tee it up next at Moose Landing Golf Course in the suburbs of Kalida on Saturday, Oct. 8, when Defiance hosts the HCAC Preview.
