Marjorie (Trenkamp) Hermiller was a homemaker
Marjorie “Marge” K. (Trenkamp) Hermiller, 93, passed away July 20, 2023 at her residence. Marjorie was born January 2, 1930 in Lima to Carl and Bertha (Schmitt) Greulich. She was married to James Trenkamp who preceded her in death and she later married Lavern Hermiller and he survives.
Marge was a 1948 graduate of Ottoville High School where she shared a lifelong bond with many family and friends. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bluffton, Bluffton Senior Citizens and the Lima Eagles Club. Marge and Vern shared a love of playing cards, especially euchre, and marbles with family and friends. When you visited Marge, you were welcomed with her smile and encouraged to sit and visit and always offered something sweet to eat.
Survivors include eleven children, Jerry Trenkamp of Lima, Craig (Mary) Trenkamp of Cridersville, Tim (Gina) Trenkamp of Maple Valley, Washington, Carla Visser of Orlando, Florida, Ron (Chris) Trenkamp of Cincinnati, John (Tami) Trenkamp of Lima, Deb (Don) Hohenbrink of Bluffton, Sue (Steve) Recker of Mt. Cory, Jane Warren of Columbus Grove, Larry (Vicki) Hermiller of Pandora, Tom (Ann) Hermiller of Lima; thirty-two grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Hermiller and a son-in-law, Dennis Warren.
Marjorie's services will be held at 10:30 a.m, Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton with Father Luyen Dau officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery in Lima at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton where a wake service will take place at 5:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
