Pirate girls tennis edged by Wapak

The Bluffton High School girls tennis team lost a close dual match at Wapakoneta 3-2 Wednesday evening.
The Pirates dropped to 2-4 with the close defeat.
Bluffton won the top two singles matches, but lost the other three bouts to fall just short.
Pirate senior Brooke Camper beat Wapak senior Brooke Minnig 6-3, 6-2 at first singles.
Bluffton junior Rory Youngpeter then rallied to win a three-set battle at second singles by a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 score.
Redskin junior Brooklyn Moser won at third singles 6-0, 6-0 over junior Kierra Siefring.
At first doubles, Wapak sophomores Anja Walters and Katie Eley outlasted Pirate senior Leah Klinger and sophomore Hannah Nieman 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Wapak sophomore Brooklyn Mowery and Liberty Jolly beat junior Genevieve Gatchel and Ava McCmaery 6-1, 6-3 at second doubles.
