Pirate volleyball win vs. LCC

The white-hot Bluffton High School varsity volleyball team stayed on a roll as they swept Lima Central Catholic in a non-league bout Thursday evening, September 14.
Bluffton rolled 25-14, 25-10, 25-13 to extend their win streak to nine matches.
The Pirates improved to 11-2 overall after the three-set victory.
Pirate junior Ayla Grandey hammered 17 kills and served three aces to pace the Pirate offense.
Kendall Stackhouse supported her with 13 kills.
Setter Gracie Yarnell passed out 37 assists and served a team-high seven aces.
Avery Talavinia mustered a team-leading 18 digs, while Vanessa Cross came up with 10 digs and dealt a pair of aces.
Olivia Siferd and Morgan Fruchey each contributed one block.
The Bluffton junior varsity also won in straight sets, 2-0.
The Pirates (1-0 NWC) host struggling league foe Delphos Jefferson (1-9, 0-1 NWC) Tuesday, Sept. 19.
