J. Denny Weaver’s theological memoir celebrated with book launch
A book release celebration for “New Moves: A Theological Odyssey” will take place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Musselman Library Reading Room.
Through this theological memoir, J. Denny Weaver, professor emeritus of religion at Bluffton University, shares how his career as a theologian developed and led to his shaping a nonviolent understanding of Jesus’ atonement.
Now a resident of Madison, Wisc., Weaver taught for decades at Bluffton. He is the author and editor of many books including 13 volumes of the C. Henry Smith book series. “New Moves” is part of the DreamSeeker Memoir Series from Cascadia Publishing House.
The event will include a reading by Weaver followed by book signings. Copies of “New Moves” will be available for purchase.
