Mildred Fay Morrison 1916-2010

Mildred Fay Morrison, 94, of Russels Point, passed away at 7 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio.

She was born in Hancock County to the late Clarence E. and Blanche E. (Abbott) Wells. She married William A. Morrison and he preceded her in death in 2002.

She was also preceded in death by a son, William Wells Morrison; a
grandson; son-in-law, Dennis Bame; two brothers, Richard and James Lee
Wells and five sisters, Margaret M. Swanson; Mary Ellen Jackson; Ruth
Wells; Patricia Poppe and Donna Jean Werner.

Bluffton Hospital groundbreaking April 8

Bluffton Hospital will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its facility expansion on Thursday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m. The event will feature remarks by Bill Watkins, Bluffton Hospital's chief administrative officer, as well as others involved with the project. David Hooley, Bluffton High School tennis player, serves to his St. Marys Memorial High School opponent in a boys' game on March 30. Hooley is the number one singles player for the Pirates. BHS matches are played on the Howe Tennis Courts.

Rosemary Moyer 1917 - 2010

Rosemary Moyer

Rosemary Moyer, 92, of Rawson, passed away at 6:50 p.m. on
Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1917, to the late Oliver and Matilda (Conine) Benton. She married Earl Moyer on Sept. 22, 1936, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1999.

Library teen advisory board bake sale April 10

The Bluffton Public Library Teen Advisory Board will hold a bake sale from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 10, at the library to help raise funds for a motion picture public performance license.

Mary Barnett receives life membership at Sr. Center April 12

April is a busy month for the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St. The month includes the April dinner meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, April 12. Sue Fett and her daughters wil play piano and organ musi for the program. Mary Barnett will receive a red rose and life membership at the dinner, upon reaching her 90th birthday.
