Glendora “Pinky” Vanlue Welch worked for ODOT
Glendora “Pinky” Vanlue Welch, age 65, of Rawson, has peacefully passed away October 10, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Findlay on March 16, 1959, to Glenn and Helen (Johnson) Vanlue. On April 1, 1989, Pinky married Kavin “Jake” Welch. In this marriage, they had four children, Mary, Elisha, Hanna and Joshua.
Pinky was a Findlay High School graduate. She went on to receive her associate degree in business at Chaparral in Arizona. Pinky was a bus driver for San Manuel, Arizona and Findlay City Schools where she retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). She had also worked at various factories. Most of all, she loved her family immensely and enjoyed traveling and shopping.
Pinky will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Kavin; children, Mary Snodgrass, Elisha (Jeff) Holladay, Hanna Welch, and Joshua (Kristen) Welch; beloved grandchildren, Kaleb Snodgrass, Audree Montgomery, Mason Searls, Kenadee Holladay, Troy Nungester, Cayden Welch, Emma Nungester, Jaden Holladay, Ethan Welch, Joseph Holladay, Jackson Welch, and coming soon…Lincoln Welch. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Glenna Vanlue Dawson and Glenda Sonnett.
Pinky was preceded in death by her parents and sister Betty Armentrout.
Friends and family may visit from 3 – 7 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay. Pinky’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 18 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Downey presiding. Interment will follow in Powell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Pinky’s honor may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
