DeWayne "Tim" Salsbury Jr. was a construction worker
DeWayne "Tim" Salsbury Jr., 71, passed away October 23, 2024, at his home in Canton, Ohio.
Tim was born July 28, 1953 in Hardin County to DeWayne E. and Rosy L. (Poe) Salsbury, Sr., who preceded him in death. In 1976, he met Mary (Judy) Salsbury and they later married on May 30, 1992.
Tim was a construction worker, working previously with Amburgey Construction. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and feeding the wildlife. He also enjoyed cheering on The Ohio State University Buckeyes football and the Cleveland Browns. He especially loved his grandchildren and his little dog Mozzie.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Salsbury of Canton; three children, Randall (Marcie) Howard of Canton, DeWayne (Carrie) Salsbury, III of Bluffton, and Delaney Salsbury of Upper Sandusky; four grandchildren, Cydnie Salsbury, Zayne Salsbury, Alex Howard, and Randy Howard; five siblings, Retha "Sis" Shumaker, Jeannie (Mike) Tomlan, Rita (Greg) Collins, David (Shana) Salsbury, and Angela (Dennis) Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele (Salsbury) Moore; and two sisters, Anna Marie "Sally" Rowe and Theresa May "Doll" Lawrence.
Services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton with Pastor Elenore Estes to officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
