Owen D. Ziessler worked for Accubuilt
Owen D. Ziessler, 83, passed away November 23, 2024, at Willow Ridge - Betty House.
Owen was born February 9, 1941 in Findlay to Winfield and Helen (Beck) Ziessler who preceded him in death. On May 11, 1963 he married Kay (Zimmerly) Ziessler who preceded him in death on January 9, 2023.
He was a graduate of Bluffton High School and Stautzenberger College. He was a member at Bluffton Presbyterian Church. He worked as a fabricator for Accubuilt until retirement; and in 2002, he was issued a patent for an enhanced loading floor in a funeral service vehicle. Owen, along with Ropp Triplett were instrumental in designing and fabricating the "Gift of Giving" Christmas light display as well as several others on Sunset Drive.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tiffany (Scott) Gleason of Bluffton and Andrea (Matt) Kinsinger of Findlay; six grandchildren, Whitney (Nick) Hines, Levi (Taylor) Gleason, Blythe (Brennan) Lieb, Paige (Andrew) Badertscher, Grant (Sarah ) Kinsinger, and Brynn Kinsinger; ten great-grandchildren and two on the way; three siblings, Richard (Betty) Ziessler, Virginia Shields, and Nancy (Gary) Stoody; two sisters-in-law, Carol Ziessler and Jean Ziessler; and two brothers-in-law, John Hanna and Robert Badertscher.
In addition to his parents and wife, Owen was preceded in death by three siblings, Winfield Ziessler, Carl Ziessler, and Janet Hanna; and brother-in-law, Walt Shields.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
