UPCOMING EVENTS
August 30 District Cabinet meeting Bluffton Town Hall at 9:00 a.m.
September 2 Club meeting at Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. Speaker Dr. Allison Niemeyer, podiatrist.
September 16 Club meeting at Town Hall at noon. Speaker will be a representative from Blanchard Valley Health System speaking on cancer.
September 18 Community Meal at Senior Center.
September 22-October 3: Eye screening of children.
September 27 Fall Festival and craft show.
October 11 Roadside clean-up.
BOARD MEETING
Festival of Wheels revenue to date of $3,956.02. Ride to Remember revenue to date of $7,557 these funds go to the bike path. Playground pledges and donations to date $205,816.
Two new applications submitted for membership, Kiley Rutzler with sponsor Lion Greg Denecker and Ryan Gathard, sponsor Lion Dwain Hall. Resignation from Lion Bill Watkins, as he moved to Florida. Condolence sent to the Val John Harris family, a long term member serving meals to the club for many years.
CLUB MEETING AUGUST 12
This was a business meeting led by President Jackie Bourassa. This year’s focus is the All-Inclusive Playground.
CLUB MEETING AUGUST 19
Perfect attendance awards were presented to Lions Jackie Bourassa, Gene Long, Dwain Hall and Barbara Plaugher. Awards will go also to Lions Mark Bourassa and Dennis Morrison. Speaker for the meeting was Lion Jesse Blackburn, talking on the State of the Village.
