William Marsh “Bill” Wheeler, 82, passed away at Putnam Heritage Assisted Living at Ottawa, Ohio, on May 26.

He was born on June 11, 1939, and was adopted by the late W. L. Wheeler and Margaret Marsh (Wheeler) Symons. In 2008, Bill was blessed through a genealogist to connect with his biological mother, the late Julia Canfield. He was married to Delores Henson on December 20, 1982, and she preceded him in death October 30, 2016.

The entire Bluffton Family Recreation facility schedule, including our group exercise classes, will be available to view on our new website which is launching June 1.

Apollo Career Center students in the Robotics/CNC Technology porgram were visited by JRT MotorSports.

The Apollo students have machined some of the parts for the midget, and the team races April through October throughout Ohio and Indiana.

The first day of the 2022 summer swim season is less than a week away (Tuesday, March 31, 2022). A few notes before we get into the season.

Bluffton’s Mike Rhonemus was recently awarded the 2021 High Mileage Award for 21,005 outside miles ridden, an honor presented by the Northwest Ohio Toledo Area Bicyclists. His goal was to ride the number of miles around the equator and--with indoor miles added--he did.

Bluffton Elementary School students K-3 enjoyed a field day of traditional games like an egg and spoon race, as well as inflatables, corn hole, frisbee course, bowling, and pizza box relays--which featured a wind handicap. The Harmon Field concession stand was open for lunch.
