This year's Bluffton Public Library holiday gift silent auction offers patrons 65 different chances to bid. The auction is open now through 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26. Here's the 65 auction item sponsors, just to give you an idea of what these baskets might hold.

It's that time again! Bluffton Public Library's annual Holiday Gift Silent Auction begins Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m. and continues through Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m. This is a wonderful way to get your holiday shopping done all while benefiting your library and its community.
November is a busy month at the Bluffton Public Library. Here's the schedule:
The holiday gift silent auction begins Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m. through Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
"This is a wonderful way to get your holiday shopping done all while benefiting your library and its community. All packages will include a minimum bid and feature a special “Buy Now” price if you’re ready to take it home at that time," said Jessica Hermiller, library director.
Two programs of special interest to patrons is on the Bluffton Public Library calendar in the next few weeks.
Fair Trade Month event
In honor of Fair Trade Month, Bluffton Public Library will show a Fair Trade Webinar discussing how to communicate with others about fair trade ideas and their importance.
This video chat style presentation is at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23. It is titled: “Telling Authentic Fair Trade Stories.”
Staying Well in Cold & Flu Season with Dr. Leah Eiden: Tuesday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bluffton Public Library (main level)
As part of a Health Education series, Dr. Leah Eiden, Family Medicine Provider at Bluffton Primary Care will present a variety of ways to help keep you and your family healthy through the winter. All ages are welcome and there will be time for questions at the end. This program is one in a series of programs offered through the BVHS Speakers Bureau.
Would you or your business/organization like to support your local library? BPL will accept donations until October 17 for its annual Holiday Gift Silent Auction. Suggested donations are themed gift baskets and/or individual items such as: giftcards, children’s items, (new books, toys, games or craft items), admission tickets (valid in 2019), merchandise for all ages, free services, lessons, lodging, etc. Cash donations are also welcome. The auction begins Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m. and continues through Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
