There's no need to visit a famous art museum this month. All the art you need is on exhibit all month at the Bluffton Public Library.

The library's annual student art showcase is on display at the library. A launch party take place at 6 p.m., Monday, March 5.

The event allows patrons to view artwork from our young community artists, and enjoy light refreshments.

Students with artwork on display are invited to bring along their family members and friends to show off their creation.

Here's the March schedule of events at Bluffton Public Library:

Winter Book Games reading program for children, teens, and adults ends in March.

Pick up a Winter Book Games Bingo card  or download and print it from our website. Then, read five or more books to receive a Bingo and a completion prize. At this time, you may also enter a drawing to win a larger prize.

On Mar. 5 at 6 p.m., you are invited to take part in BPL’s annual Student Art Showcase Launch Party held on the main floor of the library.

Not able to make it to the launch party? Artwork will be on display through Mar. 30 to celebrate Student Art Month.

Bluffton Public Library will hold a book  signing at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, for Fred Steiner's "The Bluffton We Never Knew" photo history book.

The book, released this year, includes nearly 170 photos of Bluffton from 1861 to 1911, representing the first half-century of the village.

Calling all families! Come to the library’s Community Connections Evening on Feb.21 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. During this event, you will find out what children’s programs and services are offered in the Bluffton area and meet with representatives of many organizations, businesses and government agencies.

Get your questions answered about child development, Kindergarten readiness, childcare and much more!

On Feb. 20 at 6 p.m., join us for a Fear No Art Lesson: How to Draw a Self Portrait with Janette Reineke.

This lesson is inspired by Rembrandt, who is featured in Reineke’s book, Fear No Art: You Can Do It!.

$10 cash fee taken at the door.  Advance Registration is Required.  Please register before Friday, Feb. 16 to claim your spot. Books will be available for purchase that evening.
