Free Health Clinic at Bluffton Public library

The library hosts another ONU Healthwise program with more screening options

Bluffton Public Library is excited to announce that the students and staff of Ohio Northern University's HealthWise program are to return to the library on February 9 (from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.) for another free Mobile Health Clinic.  

This clinic offers free screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, and lipids (please fast for 12 hours prior to your arrival if you wish to participate in the lipids screening). Participants may speak with Healthwise students and staff about their results or concerns, and even receive referrals to area doctors.

If the winter weather has you down, stay in touch with the Bluffton Public Library. Chances are good that there’s an event of interest to you. Here's some January events to consider:

Notice: The library will close on Monday, Jan. 15, and reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 9:30 a.m. in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Due dates are adjusted accordingly.

Hot Tea Tuesdays are back. Each Tuesday in January and February between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the library will have hot water, a selection of teas, and a variety of goodies to nibble on as you peruse our collection.

Library board reorganizes for 2018 on Tuesday

The Board of Trustees of Bluffton Public Library will hold its annual organizational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 6:30 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers, set the 2018 meeting schedule and approve temporary authorizations for 2018.

The library introduces its first Winter Book Games reading program for children, teens and adults.

Pick up a Winter Book Games Bingo card or download and print it from our website, and then read five or more books during the months of January through March to receive a Bingo and a completion prize.

Love video games?

Bluffton Public Library invites Icon viewers to an open gaming day on Thursday, Dec. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event takes place in the lower level of the library.

The game day is for all ages, and you may use the library's devices or bring your own. Games must be rated E.
