The Bluffton University men’s and women’s track and field team competed in the Polar Bear Invite at Ohio Northern University in their last regular season meet as a final tune-up before the HCAC Conference Championship meet. 

A number of athletes brought their best game to date which bodes well for next week’s championship. The team’s training load decreases next week in order to be fully rested and ready to rumble in Terre Haute so even better things are set to come.

Dr. James M. Harder, president of Bluffton University, will serve many roles during the 2018 graduation ceremony, including Commencement speaker.

A.C. Burcky, Kathryn Little, Larry Jones awards winners announced

Bluffton University presented its top athletics awards April 17 to standout athletes in baseball and softball and a special award given to President James Harder and Karen Klassen Harder.
 
Ryan Golden of Findlay, Ohio, accepted the A.C. Burcky Award as senior male athlete of the year, while Brittany Huff of Union, Ohio, won the Kathryn E. Little Award as outstanding senior female athlete.

May Day weekend musical tickets now on sale

Bluffton University will present “[title of show]” as the May Day musical on Friday, and Saturday, May 4 and 5, at 7:30 p.m. each evening in Yoder Recital Hall.
 
This playful contemporary show offers audience members a glimpse at the creative process by showcasing a musical about writing a musical. This small-cast production explores themes of creative collaboration, self-doubt and artistic dilemmas that seek to resonate with viewers.
