Citizens National Bank celebrates Customer Appreciation Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Bluffton office, 102 S. Main St.  

Free shredded pork or bratwurst sandwiches, chips and ice cream will be served. Attendees may enter to win a variety of door prizes.

The bank hosts this annual event as a way to show appreciation for its customers. “We really enjoy the chance to mingle with our customers at this event each year,” says Steve Ritter, Bluffton city executive.

Pandora Bancshares Inc., the holding company of First National Bank of Pandora board of directors approved a two-for-one stock split for shareholders on record as of July 2, 2018. The stock split took place on July 16, 2018 and began trading at the new price on July 17, 2018.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) is inviting participants for this fall’s Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, according to Eric Berdin, BCE director.

Several changes are part of this year’s competition:
• Classes are online
• Three divisions are in the competition
• The competition moved from winter to fall
• Participants will present their business plans during a catered dinner in November

Et Cetera Shop's second annual quarter week is more than nickel and dime stuff

The Et Cetera Shop, 111 S. Main St.,  held its second annual quarter week sale this past week. All clothing, excluding scarves, underwear, hats, purses and hats, cost a quarter (plus tax).

The Icon can report that the Et Cetera Shop sold 5,195 items of clothing during the week-long sale. Adult clothing was definitely the top-seller of the week, averaging over 600 items sold every day, according to Chrissy Lugibihl, store manager.

Boots for Bulldogs fund drive underway in Ada

Austin Core, owner of CoreBuilt Construction LLC and Con Basileus Holdings LLC, announced his companies will support the Ada Boots for Bulldogs project in a major way.
