Jane Shaw has opened a new business in a chicken coop behind her home at 2168 Rd R, Bluffton. The R Coop features lawn, garden and floral items for inside and outside. Most are unique items that Shaw has repurposed.
The seasonal store hours are Thursday 1-7, Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10-1.
Shaw and her husband, Steve, owned and operated Deer Creek Antiques, Bluffton.

Each Citizens National Bank branch will host a Financial Fair on Friday, April 29, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in celebration of Community Banking Month.

The bank’s tech experts will be on hand to answer questions regarding CNB’s mobile banking products and business banking officers and mortgage lenders will be available to discuss business and home loan needs. Ten Thousand Villages, fair trade retailer at 115 S. Main St., will participate in a nationwide campaign to plant 10,000 trees in our national forests.
The program, started April 14 and runs through May 1, will invite customers to donate $1 to plant a tree in a national forest through the Arbor Day Foundation.
Ten Thousand Villages in Bluffton hopes customers will partner to plant 150 trees on behalf of our community. Ten Thousand Villages corporate offices based in Akron, Pa., will donate 1,000 trees to kick-off the campaign.
Fortman Insurance, 115 N. Main St., Bluffton, will hold a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct the ribbon cutting.
The event is in recognition of the company ownership being passed from one generation to the next.
