The students of Krysti’s Music Studio have been working diligently all year and would like to share one of their musical numbers with you.

The upcoming recitals will showcase their talents. There will be different students at each of the recitals. Piano, guitar, violin, voice, and ukulele are some of the instruments that will be performed.

Each recital should not last more than about 30-45 minutes.

A Bluffton Pirate Youth Football camp will be Monday through Wednesday, June 3 to 5, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Harmon Field and the Ricky Matter Center.

This year's camp will focus on fundamental football skills, encourage teamwork, and includes a daily guest speaker.

The cost is $30 per camper, which includes instruction, t-shirt, prizes and snacks.

Walk your dog for a good cause

Calling all dogs…and dog owners.

Bluffton’s Relay for Hope plans a “Bark for Life” event at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18, according to Lynda Best.

This is the second canine event in the Bluffton group’s Relay. Here’s how your dog, and you, can participate.

Registration is $25 and those registrants receive a t-shirt.

“Participants will start at Maple Crest at 9:30 and walk the bike path to the Mennonite Home and will have a water break and visit residents who would like to see the dogs for 30-45 minutes." says Best.

A High Glass basketball camp is scheduled for Monday through Thursday, June 17 to 20, at Cory-Rawson High School.

High Glass basketball camp is for any athletes wishing to advance their skills by focusing on the fundamentals of the game, such as shooting, ball handling, footwork, and court awareness.  

Session 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is for girls, grades fourth through twelfth.

Session 2, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. is for boys, grades fourth through twelfth.

The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm is hosting “Wildflowers & Feathered Wings” on Sunday, May 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Walk the trails with Naturalist Chad Carroll to look low for spring wildflowers and look up for birds who fly overhead. We may look somewhere in between ground and sky for nesting woodducks.

Light refreshments, including homemade cookies, will be available. The event is free and open to the public, but donations are welcome as they support The Quarry Farm's educational programming.

It's a Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs free program

At noon on Thursday, May 23, Brendon Matthews will lead a brown bag discussion on specialized loans for new and small businesses. The event is in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St.

A senior lender at First National Bank of Pandora, Matthews will provide information on loans, including two state programs: the Collateral Enhancement Program and the Capital Access Program.
