Crimson Lane, 4600 County Road 1, Ada will host a craft beer and wine night from 6 to 10 p.m., Thursday, May 23, according to Jodi Willeke.

The evening features craft beers from Fat Heads, Moeller and Rhinegeist.

The event includes live music from Shifferly Road Band of Bluffton and a slow smokin’ barbecue food truck.

Crimson Lane opened this past winter. It hosts events such as weddings, anniversaries, reunions, and business conferences and meetings. It  is located 3 miles north of Ada on the Hardin-Hancock County Line Road and 2.5 miles east of State Route 235.

Bluffton University is offering a Basketball Skills camp for girls, in grades second through eighth, from Monday, June 17 to Thursday, June 20.

This camp is a great opportunity for student athletes to focus on skill development and the fundamentals of the game.

Session 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, is for players entering grades second through fourth.
Session 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. is for players entering grades fifth through eighth.

The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership (BRWP) is holding a Watershed Tour on Friday, June 14 at Brugeman Lodge, 9250 Township Road 208, Findlay, OH 45840 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

As part of this event, participants will get to explore Deer Meadows Wetlands, Riverside Park Dam, meet policymakers and water quality resource professionals, and learn more about the Clean Lake 2020 Plan.

A continental breakfast with coffee and juice will be served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The Village of Bluffton is a participating partner in the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership.

Crime Victim Services, Lima, invites Icon viewers to become volunteer guardians for persons in Allen and Putnam counties, according to Elysia Bush, director of the CVS elder victim ministry and guardian programs.

Court-sworn guardians are needed to make decisions related to social services, housing and healthcare for individuals deemed unable to make those decisions themselves. 

A session explaining the program is at noon and again at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at Crime Victim Services, 330 N. Elizabeth St. Lima. A light meal is included.

Saturday evening of music and sweets

Greenhorn, a new Bluffton restaurant at 112 Vine St.,  – formerly Bystillwaters Bistro – plans a pre-opening event Saturday, May 18, with all-you-can-eat sweets and a concert by its very own house band.

Bluffton Police, Bike Crazy and Bluffton Pediatrics will host a bike rodeo from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at the Buckeye park.

The event for youth will include bike riding safety skills, free helmets (limited quantity) and prize drawings.
