Bluffton Soccer pool party June 23

Bluffton Soccer has reserved the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool for Saturday, June 23, for a Bluffton Soccer Pool Party from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

The party is open to spring players and future fall 2012 players. Players can bring their fall 2012 soccer registrations at that time.

"Men In Black 3" shown at Shannon May 25-31

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Men In Black 3" (PG-13) will be premiering at the theatre from May 25-31. All 2D seats are $3.00. All 3D seats are only $6.00!

2D - Each evening at 7 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30.

Still time to join Bluffton Senior Citizens trip to Hawaii

The Bluffton Senior Center is traveling to the Hawaiian Islands from Sept. 1 to 12 and you are invited.

The group will be travel with Country Travels Discoveries who will take the group to the big sites in Hawaii as well as several farms.

Three islands will be visited, Oahu, the Big Island and Maui. Volcanoes National Park, the USS Arizona Memorial and the Pacific Hilo Tsunami Museum and some of the sites that will be visited. There will also be plenty of time to relax on the beach.

Cottonwood Jam String Band performs Sunday night at town hall

The Cottonwood Jam String Band, consisting of Marty Clayton, Cole Christiansen, Spencer Cunningham and Renata Burg will perform on the Bluffton Cultural Affairs Committee's town hall concert series at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 20.

The band plays a blend of traditional Old Time Appalachian, Folk, and Dance music for concerts, parties, contra/square dances, weddings, and just about anything else.

Findlay Presbyterian Concert Series presents Cakewalkin' Jass Band May 20

The Cakewalkin' Jass Band will present an afternoon of New Orleans style jazz, blues, and gospel at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, in the Great Room at First Presbyterian Church, 2330 S. Main St., Findlay. The concert, the final in the church's 32nd Concert Series, is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be received.

A Toledo institution, the Cakewalkin' Jass Band was organized in 1967. After playing three short night club jobs and one wedding, the band opened at Tony Packo's Cafe in 1968.
