The Bluffton Post Office will hold a passport day at Marbeck Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1. The event will take place in the Kreider Room.

Persons wanting a passport must bring a certified copy of a birth certificate and one photo ID, and two checks or two money orders for payment.

A basic adult passport fee is $150. Passport photos will be taken on site.

Persons with questions may contact the Bluffton post office.

This December, Bluffton Public Library will feature local musicians playing on its main level to help spread some holiday cheer.

Music will be played on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 11 am.-12:30 p.m., Dec. 11 from noon-1 p.m. and Dec. 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the Bluffton Friends of the Library.

In addition to the music, Santa Claus will be visiting the library on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 11-1 p.m. Parents are invited to bring their children to decorate Christmas cookies, do a make-and-take craft and hear Santa read a story.

A limited number of tables remain for the Blaze of Lights Morning extravaganza at The Centre on Saturday, Nov. 27.

Tables are $35 ($25 for Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members) and may be used by Bluffton businesses, crafters, or organizations wishing to promote their products or services.

Bluffton High School's guidance department will hold a finacial aid meeting for parents of juniors and seniors planning to continue their education beyond high school.

The meeting is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, in the high school cafeteria.

Lawrence Matthews, Director of Financial Aid at Bluffton University, will be the presenter for the evening. He will discuss financial aid and filing the FAFSA form.

Apollo Career Center will hold its 22nd annual Christmas at Apollo Craft Fair, Saturday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

The Craft Show features over 100 crafters and has one of the largest selections of crafts anywhere. Admission is $2 and children 12 and under are free.

The proceeds are used to support Apollo student club community service projects. Apollo has several clubs including: HOSA, DECA, BPA, FCCLA, Student Council, FFA and Skills USA.

The Bluffton Lions Club will hold its annual Harlan's chicken barbecue on Saturday, Nov. 27, the night of the Blaze of Lights. Serving is at the Bluffton elementary school from 4 to 7 p.m. Drive-up service is available. Tickets are $7 and are available in advance from any Lion.
