Bluffton's CROP Walk is at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 3. The annual event raises funds to support world hunger. This year's walk starts and ends at the Bluffton Senior Citizen Center, 132 N. Main St.

Bluffton residents are encouraged to donate blood Saturday, Sept. 25, from 7 to 11 a.m. at Bluffton Family Recreation.

"Blood and platelets from volunteer donors can be vital to the care and treatment of people with cancer," said Sharyn Whitman, CEO for the Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross. "You can make such a difference to someone very sick through the simple act of rolling up your sleeve."

The Oscar Velasquez historic Bluffton mural will have a formal dedication at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, at the mural. The event is one of several fall festival activities going on in Bluffton that day.

The dedication is open to the public. Velasquez will provide musical entertainment from the1950s following the dedication.

The mural, featuring many Bluffton residents, is on the wall of Forever In Stitches.

Bluffton's fall festival is Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival features seven settings that attract youth, history buffs, arts and crafts devotees, fishing enthusiasts, quilters, movie-goers, and those just looking for a good time on an early fall weekend.

Most of the activities are free, with literally, something for everyone. All locations share free transportation between sites via vans and horse drawn wagons.

Are you ready for Gumbyfest 2010? The 'fest, now in its second year, includes a hog roast and music by former Bluffton resident Jesse Henry, who is bringing his band The Spikedrivers. (www.thespikedrivers.com)

It all takes place at the Crawfis residence, 8795 Phillips Road, Bluffton, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11.
