The State of Ohio marks August 31 as Ohio Overdose Awareness Day, "an opportunity to remember loved ones lost to an overdose, recognize those who have a substance use disorder and are working toward recovery." It's also a good time to become more familiar with the resources available for those in crisis.

The August 27 Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival includes two events:

  • 1:00 p.m. - PPK-sanctioned Punt, Pass & Kick competiton at Dial-Roberson Stadium
  • 5:00-10:00 p.m. - Tailgate Party at the Ada Train Depot Park

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce coordinates this family-friendly event. New this year: the tailgate party will include a goal kick simulator from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and beer sales.

Bluffton Cars & Coffee at 902 N Main St. (Masterpiece Signs & Graphics) is among the many attractions to Bluffton on August 27, the first installment of Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Discovery Days for 2022.

Biennial Program recognized as one of the best in Ohio

The Hancock Historical Museum will host its sixth Historic Barn Tour on Saturday, September 10th from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The self-guided tour, sponsored by Premier Bank, will showcase six historic barns in the western half of Hancock County, dating from the 1850s to the early 1900s.

Bluffton police chief Ryan Burkholder invites the public to a celebration of Officer Lonny Kent’s retirement:

  • 3:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 27
  • Sportsmen's Club, 405 S Spring St.

The 17th annual Bluffton Fall Festival, with many family-oriented activities, will take place throughout the community on Saturday, Sept. 24, with most activities  occurring between 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
