Take Back the Night event April 8

Bluffton University’s PEACE club invites members of the community to attend its Shatter the Silence march at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at the Sommer Center, followed by speaking out against sexual assault.

The event is a night of solidarity in the tradition of the Take Back The Night Foundation, which strives to bring awareness to issues of sexual assault through events. Learn more here: https://takebackthenight.org/

Southgate Lanes benefit for local nonprofits on April 16

Southgate Lanes, 9700 N. Dixie Hwy., has announced that as of April 5 they have four scotch doubles spots left in the 2022 Help Bluffton benefit from 6:00 p.m.-mindnight on April 16.

This is an annual collaboration with Bluffton Diesel Service and DJ Phil Austin. One of the biggest fundraisers of the year at the bowling alley, you can parcipate even if you don't bowl. Raffles, auctions and prizes will benefit local nonprofit organizations.

ApolloPalooza hosted on April 7

Apollo Career Center will hold its eighth annual ApolloPalooza on April 7, 2022, 5:30-7 p.m. ApolloPalooza will showcase both the high school and adult education programs, celebrate Apollo's partnerships with local businesses, highlight Career Tech opportunities, its students and instructors. The event is free and open to the public.

Leiber Trust auction of personal property on April 16

At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2021, a public auction will take place at 10250 Hillville  Rd. Bluffton, OH.

Owner is Leiber Trust, Angela Palte, trustee. The auction will include furniture and household goods, as well as a pickup truck, automobile, boat, log splitter and hunting ammo.

Photo-story: Elementary PTO coordinates huge STEM event

On Friday, April 1, the three largest spaces in the Bluffton Elementary and Middle School were filled with families exploring activities related to science, technology, engineering and math during the Elementary PTO Science Night. The Middle School gym, cafetorium and Elementary School gym were packed with people lining up and participating in all kinds of entertaining and educational challenges. Examples of stations:

Reminder: Farmers Market vendor meeting on April 5

New and returning vendors are invited to a Bluffton Farmers Market organizational meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5 at Bluffton Town Hall, 3rd floor.
