The League of Women Voters of the Lima Area has announced that Dr. Perry Bush will speak on how the Constitution continues to create a path to Democracy in a 7 p.m. event on Monday, February 28.
He will speak in the main lecture hall on the first floor of Centennial Hall on the campus of Bluffton University.
At 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, a public auction of farmland in Monroe Township, Allen County will take place at the Columbus Grove American Legion Hall, 412 Plum St., Columbus Grove, OH 45830
The auction includes:
32.12 +/- Acres Farmland in the SE ¼ of Section 5 in Monroe Twp., Allen County
Mixture of Sloan, Blount, Pewamo, Cygnet, and Hoytville Soils, Excellent Frontage on Both SR 65 and Searfoss Roads.
Columbus Grove Schools, Full Possession Upon Closing, Good Farm w/ Excellent Location.
At 7 p.m. on Monday, March 21, a public auction of 164.9 +/- acres, two homes and builidings in five parcels will take place at The Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.
The auction includes:
- 1½ story home with farmland at 10377 Hillville Rd.
- Brick ranch home on 5+ acre country lot at 10250 Hillville Rd.
- Pole barn, livestock barn, pond and shelter house in Bluffton school district
An open house for homes and land will be held from 4-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Bluffton Girl Scouts will sell cookies at a drive-thru booth from 4:30-6:00 p.m. on February 20 in the parking lot of Springfield Fireworks, 490 St, OH-103.
The Girl Scouts are also launching a local cookie finder, gswo.org/findcookies. Customers who don’t already know a Girl Scout now have the chance to find cookie booths nearby, purchase cookies online for shipment or donation or connect with a troop for local delivery.
"With temperatures predicted to be in the single digits and flooding in the nature preserve, Saturday's bird hike is canceled.
"But don't let that stop you from counting and documenting the birds who visit the feeders at your home. Just this morning, we saw our first Red-winged Blackbird of 2022 at our feeders—Spring is near!
