Need a TV or radio repaired, or purchased?

Decades before John Wagner became Bluffton's Nationwide agent, a radio and television retail and repair store was located at 105 N. Main Street. It was Beach Radio Television, owned by Oliver Beach.

To help date the photo is a 1950 or 1951 Dodge parking in front of the doorway.

To the left of you can read the "EWS" of "The Bluffton News" located at 103 N. Main St. at the time. To the right (today it's Family Eye Care) was Hankish's Confectionary.

36 basketball season ago - NWC runner-up

Here's the 1982-83 Bluffton High School boys' basketball team, Northwest Conference runner-up.

At 17-5 this team had the most wins of any BHS boys' team between 1946-47 (18 wins) and 1997-98 (17 wins).

These guys fought Ada fires in the 1920s

FROM ADA ICON - Ada Fire Department about 1923-1925 on the chemical truck -

Front row - L to R - Mayor Frank Kinsman who was Ada mayor in 1926-27, again in 1930 and again in 1932, Jim Wallick; Art Robinolte; Red Lantz; Chet Houser; Ed Firestone; John White was fire chief in 1926.

Four sets of twins; one set of triplets in Bluffton school - early 1950s

Enrolled in the Bluffton grade school are four sets of twins and one set of triplets, a record for the school. Two pairs of twins and the triplets are in the second grade.
