Obituaries

LeRoy “Lee” Conaway, 83 died May 17, 2013, at his residence after a two month battle of cancer. 

He was born July 26, 1929, in Lima to the late Elmer and Anna (Mills) Conaway.  On May 7, 1954 he married Gayla Wynkoop and she survives.

He owned and operated Lee’s Hydraulics, Lima, for over 40 years and retired in 1985 after 28 years from the Lima Ford Engine Plant. He had owned, trained, and raised harness horses. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart Award.

Richard Nicholas Goodenbour, 53 of Bluffton died at 12:10 pm May 7, 2013 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born March 19, 1960 in Benson, Minnesota, to the late Robert E. and Rosella E. (Nelson) Goodenbour. On May 29, 1999, he married Rachel Clemens and she survives.

Richard was a self-employed accountant.

Survivors also include a brother Brad (Renee) Goodenbour of Benson, Minnesota; and four nephews Joel, Bryce, Brent and Brandon Goodenbour.

Harriet E. Badertscher, 76, died April 25, 2013, at Willow Ridge – Frieda House, Bluffton. 

She was born Oct. 23, 1936, in Bluffton to the late Edwin and Mae (Murray) Badertscher.  On April 26, 1958, she married Don L. Badertscher and he died Nov. 7, 2003.

Mrs. Badertscher was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.

Darvin R. Luginbuhl, 91, of Bluffton, died the morning of April 26, 2013 at his residence.  He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Bluffton to William and Fannie Steiner Luginbuhl. On May 26, 1946, he married Evelyn Johnson and she survives.

Mr. Luginbuhl taught art in the Wapakoneta Public Schools for eight years after his graduation from then Bluffton College in 1946.

Darvin Luginbuhl, 91, died April 26, 2013 at his residence in Bluffton. Arrangments are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
