Keith Edwin Moyer - 1954 - 2011

Keith Edwin Moyer, 56, of Rawson, died at 2:27 a.m., July 28, 2011 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born Dec. 6, 1954, in Lima, to Edwin and Dorothea (Tissot) Moyer. Mr. Moyer worked as a police officer for Deshler, North Baltimore and McComb and also worked at McBrown Industries, Rawson. He was a lifetime member of North American Hunting Club and National Rife Association. He graduated from Lima Senior.

John Gilbert 1915-2011

John Gilbert

John W. Gilbert, 95 died at 9:03 a.m. July 22, 2011 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born Sept. 5, 1915 in Orange Township, Hancock County, Ohio to Melvin Leo and Nellie Gail (Beagle) Gilbert. On April 28, 1940 he married Ruth V. Cunningham and she died Feb. 6, 2007.

He was a farmer in Hancock County until 1950. He had worked at Triplett Electrical Instrument Company, Bluffton where he was a plant manager. He also worked for Breece and Yeasel in Jackson Center, Ohio and in 1976 incorporated his own molding business known as Associated Plastics in Pandora.

Ned Althaus 1938-2011

Larry Ned Althaus, 72, of Bluffton died at 5:40 p.m. July 20, 2011 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born Dec. 7, 1938 in Bluffton to Henry and Gertrude Diller Althaus. On Dec. 13, 1958 he married Patricia Drury and she survives.

Kenneth Lee Stucky, 81, of Pandora, died at 7:35 p.m. July 16, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 12, 1930 in Van Nuys, Calif., to Kenneth E. and Alice M. Shank Stucky. The family was part of the Van Nuys Missionary Church from Ken's earliest days. On Jan. 25, 1952 he married Betty Wolmerstett and she survives.

Bruce Edward Downey 1946-2011

Bruce Edward Downey, 65, of Put-in-Bay, Ohio, and Las Vegas, Nev., died at 9:17 a.m. July 14, 2011 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, following a sudden illness. He was born on March 5, 1946 in Lima to Marion and Mary Elizabeth Amstutz Downey.

Bruce retired from the Lucas County Housing Authority, and had also worked for the State of Ohio and British Petroleum. He was a 1964 graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School, Stautzenberger College, Toledo, and served in the Marine Corps Reserves.
