Stratton Greenhouses, 9915 Lincoln Highway, and Roots by Strattons, 111 S. Main St., Bluffton, will hold a spring open house this weekend, according to Susie Stratton.
The event includes several drawings and giveaways.
Open house hours: Stratton Greenhouses -
Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
Roots by Stratton's -
Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A private memorial service for Kathryn Jo (Kate) Gundy will be held Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church in Bluffton. The service will be available via Zoom; email [email protected] for the link.

WOMEN'S GOLF
The Bluffton University women's golf team showed tremendous growth during the 2020-21 season, capping it off with a 6th place finish at the Heartland Conference Championships on Sunday, April 25.
.Junior Brylee Oberdorf (Clyde/Green Springs) finished eight strokes back of Obringer with a 293, while Marissa Hall (Avon Lake) and Grace Branson (Carlisle) rounded out the weekend with scores of 300 and 326, respectively.
The 147th running of the Kentucky Derby is this Saturday, May 1.
Tonya Meyer says that if you want to celebrate, stop in the Senior Center and pick up a pound of Mint Julep Chocolate Kentucky Bourbon fudge for $18.50.
"We have 20 pounds so don't wait. The Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

DEFIANCE - The Bluffton track and field teams competed at the 18-school Diller Invitational hosted by Defiance Ayersville Saturday.
The Pirate boys came in eighth out of 15 squads. Columbus Grove captured the boys title with 140.33 points to beat Minster by 12 points. Bluffton tallied 33 points.
