Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) hosted its annual Pastor Appreciation Luncheon at Maple Crest Senior Living Village on Oct. 18.
Elders invited their pastors and sat with them for the meal. In all, 23 pastors attended, and the Patio Room at Maple Crest was at capacity.
According to Chris Moser, director of resource development and church relations, the purpose of the luncheon was to honor pastors for their dedication to MHCO elders and their families. “Pastors are a great source of support and comfort for our elders,” Moser said.
A Thanksgiving menu will be featured at the Tuesday, Nov. 6, PrimeTimers Luncheon at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora, beginning at noon.
Those attending will enjoy roast turkey with gravy, dressing, green bean casserole, cranberry salad, rolls and apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream. Trumpeter Lynn Lukehart will provide musical entertainment.

She was nominated by her neice Kim Robinette, who says, "She truly is the sweetest." Janice received a large bouquet of flowers from the Icon.
There are many other "sweet" people in the Icon viewership area. The following persons were also nominated by viewers (sorry, we couldn't give a bouquet to everyone on the list):
