I'm Ike, a miniature schnauzer. I'm the mascot of The Bluffton Icon.

Yes, and there's lot more. I'm actually the brains behind the project.

How is that?
I come up with story ideas, photo ideas and the political stance of the Icon.

A passion for quilting

For the last 34 years Marty Hostetler has been creating quilts of all types and sizes. Since Hostetler retired from teaching first grade in Bluffton, she has had more time to devote to her quilts. She has put together more than 50 quilts so far.

Joanne Niswander: Guess who is visiting Australia

Greetings from Australia! My daughter Lee and I arrived in Melbourne at 6:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, after too-many-hours-to-think-about in the air over the Pacific. Believe me, it was a long night.

Carol Edwards offers knitting classes at the library

Carol Edwards will host knitting classes at Bluffton Public Library, beginning Saturday, Oct. 2, and continuing until Saturday, Nov. 6. The classes will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.
