"It's just really fun to add the atmosphere to an event," Krysti Schey of Bluffton, said.
Krysti is the keyboard player and vocalist for a local band named 5 Myles High, a group that provides a little bit of jazz, swing, blues and Dixieland sound when they play at various events.
The group formed over three years ago when Krysti was asked by a friend to play some jazz at their wedding.
"I rounded some people up and we had so much fun playing at the wedding we just decided to keep doing it," Krysti said.
Three Ohio Northern University public relations students, including one from Columbus Grove, are partnering with the 2010 U.S. Census in order to win a national campaign competition.
Allison Gribben, a junior public relations major from East Palestine, Jamienne Scott, a junior public relations and Spanish major from Columbus Grove, and Stephanie Rowe, a junior public relations major from Waldo, are participating in the National Bateman Case Study Competition sponsored by the Public Relations Student Society of America.

Bluffton Cub Scout Pack 256 held its Blue and Gold Banquet on Feb. 7 at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church. Twenty-five cub scouts and 10 leaders, along with their families and friends attend the banquet, held annually nearest BSA's founding date of Feb. 8, 1910. Highlighting this event was the celebration of Scouting's centennial.
Keynote speaker was Jerome Gray of the Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center in Findlay. Gray invited the cub scouts to visit the library.
Citizens National Bank announced the appointment of Stanley R. Clemens of Bluffton to its board of directors at the monthly meeting held on Jan. 26.
Along with the other members, he will be responsible for oversight of business development, regulatory compliance, community relations and bank profitability.
In 2008, Clemens started Clemens Construction Group, whose projects include new home construction and light commercial projects. Clemens has been selected as the contractor for the upcoming 45,000-square-foot Green House project for Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
