Two-car accident at Grove and Kibler

Bluffton rescue personnel responded to a two-car accident that occurred at approximately noon on Friday, Feb. 17, at the intersection of Grove Street and Kibler Street.

According to an eye-witness one car was traveling south from Bentley to the intersection. The other car (in the photo) was traveling east into Bluffton from Grove Road. The southbound vehicle is behind the EMS vehicle.

The apparent driver of the vehicle that flipped was taken to Bluffton Hospital. Responding to the accident were Bluffton police, fire and rescue.

Columbus Grove Road accident

Bluffton police as first responders, Bluffton EMS and Bluffton Fire personnel responded to an accident that occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14 on Columbus Grove Road. A vehicle, apparently west bound veered off the north side of the road and flipped into the ditch.

Allen County Sheriff deputies were also called to the scene. No other details are available.

-A Jackson St. resident reported that an unknown person had stolen a trailer from her residence.
-Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash at the intersection of S.R. 103 and County Line Rd. Todd Marshall, 40, Bluffton was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device and that case is pending in Bluffton Mayor's Court.
-Police responded to a hit-skip traffic crash in the parking lot of a S.R. 103 business.

Bluffton fire department responded to 80 calls in 2011

Fire calls to the Bluffton fire department were down in 2011 from 2010, according to Jon Kinn, fire chief. Kinn released the department's annual fire report to council on Monday.

In 2010 the department responded to 96 calls. In 2011 the department responded to 80 calls. March and April 2011 were last year's two busiest back-to-back months for the department. Twenty-two calls were answered during that period.
