-Officers responded to a complaint of Domestic Violence at a W. Riley St. residence. August 4
-A N. Main St. business reported having harassment issues with a former employee. August 6
-A S. Main St. business reported unknown persons were filing false claims about the business.
Bluffton police have issued the following alert to Icon viewers:
• Quick change suspect
• White male, 20-30yrs, 5'9, 165, tattoos on both arms, driving pontiac sunfire. Instructions:
• Call 911 if encountering suspect

It's been a busy year for the Bluffton police department. While Bluffton's August police activity summary shows the department had 632 calls for service the cumulative calls for 2012 reached 3,599 by Aug. 31.
The year-to-date report is in the attachment at the bottom of this story.

If you drink and drive in Hancock County beware, the sheriff's office is joining with law enforcement throughout the nation for the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign Aug. 17 to Sept. 3, according to Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
Sgt. Matt Kinsinger of the sheriff's deparment said: "Driving impaired is simply not worth the risk. So don't take the chance. Remember, we will be out in force and we will watching, so "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over." "

-A S. Main St. resident reported unknown persons put an unknown substance in the gas tank of his truck.
July 5
-A SR 103 resident reported a friend took her vehicle without permission.
-Police took a report from a Matterhorn Drive resident in regards to a dispute with a contractor.
July 6
-Officers responded to a W. Riley St. residence in regards to an unruly juvenile.
-Matthew Mericle was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Putnam County.
