The Shannon Cemetery Commission will bring a nine-point recommendation to Bluffton council on Monday.
The commission met on Feb. 9 with nine of its 11 members present and voted unanimously on its recommendations. Council must now act on the recommendations.
Among the recommendations are to have funds for the project come from donations, replace gravestones on their “known” graves, and restore and clean all stones.
The Shannon Cemetery Commission will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, according to Nancy Kindle, village fiscal officer.
Bluffton’s newest council member, Ralph Miller, 126 N. Jackson St., is a relative newcomer as a Bluffton resident, but his work in Bluffton goes back nearly a half century.
Miller was appointed to a vacancy on council on Monday. He is an eight-year Bluffton resident, however in 1969 his company, Ralph Miller Construction, built what is today the Chase building on South Main Street. At the time of its construction it was Central Savings Association.
