Southbound I-75 off ramp closures start Monday

Read this carefully - may affect your driving pattern

Interstate 75 road work will impact six Bluffton and Beaverdam southbound off ramps in the next few weeks. The ramp closing schedule follows: 

5 day closures at Bluffton 103:
SR 103 SB Off Ramp: Close Monday, June 29
SR 103 SB On Ramp: Close Monday, June 29

14 day closures at Beaverdam:
SR 696 SB Off Ramp: Close Monday night, July 6
SR 696 SB On Ramp: Close Sunday night, July 12

Bentley Road closed Wednesday from Augsburger to Riley

Bentley Road from Augsburger Road to Riley Street will be closed on Wednesday, June 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to Brion Rhodes, Allen County engineer. The closing is for drainage work, weather permitting. During closure there will be no access.

Bluffton joins United Way of Greater Lima

Local UW has struggled to meet its goal in recent years

The Bluffton-Beaverdam-Richland Townhip United Way, perhaps the smallest United Way in Ohio, will join the United Way of Greater Lima this fall, according to Erin Bukholder, the local board's executive director.

The local United Way has struggled in recent years, failing to meet its annual goal of $26,000.

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio invites area volunteers to assist in several "hands-on" projects this summer, according to Jessica Strahm, volunteer coordinator.

Ohio's "Responsible Restart Ohio Plans” moving forward for businesses meeting mandatory safety requirements for customers, employees and volunteers enables MHCO to invite persons for volunteer projects.
