Bluffton Scrap Artist Quilters detail impact of quilts for veterans
By Paula Scott
For sixteen years, Bluffton American Legion Post 382 has hosted a fun charitable golf outing with a serious purpose. The event raises funds for local nonprofits and charitable organizations, including those that support area veterans.
State Route 103/Jefferson Street between County Line Road and Commerce Lane in the village of Bluffton will have lane restrictions and shoulder work beginning Monday, Aug. 14 for approximately 120 days for construction of a shared-use path.
Comments about the project can be posted on the project webpage: PID 111220
About the project:
Construct a shared-use path along the south side of State Route 103/Jefferson Street from County Line Road to the intersection of Dave’s Way, crossing State Route 103 at the intersection, and continuing on the north side of State Route 103 to the intersection of Commerce Lane. The work includes storm improvements, a sidewalk extension, lighting, and other roadway safety improvements.

~ News from the Superintendent~
We are excited to get the 2023-2024 school year started by welcoming over 1215 students, a small increase from last year, into our district on the first day of school. Our enrollment numbers continue to stay very consistent, which is a real tribute to our community and staff, as many schools in our region have declining enrollment.
The Bluffton Schools have announced that live streams will continue for the following 2023-2024 athletic events. Subscribing to the channels is recommended to make finding the events easier.
Bluffton Exempted Village Schools has announced its 2023-2024 program year policy for free and reduced price meals for students unable to pay the full price of meals under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast.

Each school office and the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.
