July 5 is registration deadline to vote in August 2 Ohio primary

Ohio voters will select nominees for state legislative offices in a second primary election on Aug. 2. Registration, ballot and voting information is listed below.

The Bluffton polls will be open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. at The Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St. That evening there will also be National Night Out celebrations held across Snider Rd. at the Bluffton Community Pool.

Planning survey draws 300+ responses; open until August 1

The Village of Bluffton is conducting a Bluffton Beyond Tomorrow survey to assist in advance planning for the village. Over 300 responses have been received and more are welcome.

The 12 question survey takes about 8 minutes to complete and is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/rpcbbt2022

You can also use the QR code on the attached flyer to access and share the survey. If you haven't used a QR code before, view the code through your cell phone camera and follow the onscreen prompts.

Community Pool closures for swim meets, no lessons on July 4

The Bluffton Community Pool, 205 Snider Rd., has announced:

  • Thursday, June 30 - Closed at 4 p.m. for Sardines swim meet. Come cheer them on!
  • July 8 and 9 - Closed due to Sardines swim team away at Championships. (Does not impact rentals for those dates).

Ohio grants awarded for enhanced support for first responder wellness

Ohio Office of First Responder Wellness created

As part of the new Ohio First Responder Recruitment, Retention, and Resilience Program, Governor DeWine is awarding approximately $1.3M to three statewide programs that focus specifically on the unique wellness concerns of law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and others who routinely respond to traumatic incidents.

We will be eating at Smoky Bones before enjoying the hit Broadway show. The trip is closed but we are taking stand by.
