3,265 pounds of food collected by Richland Manor

Richland Manor collected 3,265 pounds of food of the Bluffton Food Pantry. That totals 14 large boxes of food. The boxes were delivered to the food pantry earlier this week by Dan Wolfe and Barry Schneck of Richland Manor.

Over 500 swimmers plus hundreds and hundreds of fan flock to Bluffton for weekend WOAL swim championships

Ready, get set, swim! That command starts Friday at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool.

This year, Bluffton hosts the Western Ohio Aquatic League meet championships. The event, will bring hundreds of fans and swimmers to Bluffton for the next two days.

"Warms-up is at 7 a.m. followed by festivities at 9 a.m. and swimming beginning around 10 a.m." said Liz Diller, one of the two Bluffton swim team coaches. "Normally we have a couple thousand fans here, so it adds up pretty quickly."

May 25 - Morgan Ann Inbody, daughter of Charles and Sierra Inbody, Bluffton, 20 1/2 inches, 8 ounces.
May 30 - Derek James Dennis, son of Amy and Thomas Dennis, Ada, 6 pounds, 12 ounces, 20 1/2 inches.
June 3 - Dalton Christopher Siefker, son of Christopher Allen and Colleen Marie Siefker, Pandora, 21 inches, 7 pounds, 8 ounces.

Make plans to spend Saturday night at the "Taste of Summer" on Vine Street

You might called the Saturday, July 14, Bluffton Taste of Summer "Italian Heritage Night," or perhaps its an Italian-American summer festival.

Bluffton's Taste of Summer continues with an evening of food and entertainment at Jeannie's Restaurant, on Vine Street, from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday, July 14. The event is part of a summer series sponsored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event is family-oriented and is open to the public.

Local departments fighting house fire on Hillville Road

Fire departments in Bluffton and Beaverdam-Richland Township are fighting a house fire on Hillville Road, south of Bentley Road tonight. Bluffton was called to the fire shortly before 5 p.m.

Second session of summer swim lessons start July 16

Swimming lessons are now underway at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool. The first session ended July 6. Here's this rest of the summer's swim lesson schedule:
