Multiple Sclerosis support group meets June 13

The area Multiple Sclerosis group Friends Helping Friends will meet Wednesday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the third floor conference room at the Bluffton town hall. An elevator is available.

The guest speaker is Ruth Everett, massage therapist, who will show and discuss relaxation techniques.

For those who missed the May meeting, we were shown how to plant both flowers and vegetables in containers that could be at a height for those who cannot plant things in the ground.

August BHS band camp schedule listed

David Sycks, Bluffton High School band director, announced the following summer schedule for the marching band.

Aug. 6-10
Pre-band camp, 9 a.m. to noon

Aug. 13-17
Band camp, 7 a.m. to noon; sectionals, 1-3 p.m. on Aug. 13, 14, 15

Aug. 17
Allen County Fair band show

Aug. 24
BHS band plays at Cory-Rawson football game

Three sessions of swimming lessons offered this summer

Swimming lessons are coming soon to a swimming pool near you and that pool is the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool. Here's this summer's swim lesson schedule:

Session I
June 25-July 6
11:15-11:45 a.m.
5:15-5:45 p.m.

Session II
July 16- July 27
11:15-11:45 a.m.
5:15-5:45 p.m.

Session III
August 6-Aug. 17
11:15-11:45 a.m.

Come on downtown Thursday night for a Taste of Summer

Bluffton's Taste of Summer is here and you are invited

The first of three Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Taste of Summer programs, open to the public, will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 7, at Luke's, 133 N. Main St.

The purpose of these events is to bring people downtown in the summer for a fun evening. It is the chamber's first step in creating a larger summer program of events with the community in mind that promotes downtown businesses.

Friday chamber breakfast features Bluffton Center for Entrepreneur business plan competition winners

The winners of this spring's Bluffton Center for Entrepreneur business plan competition will be announced during the Friday morning, June 8, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.

The breakfast meeting is the in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall and is open to the public.

This month's breakfast is provided by Luke's of Bluffton with coffee from Common Grounds.
