American Legion Post commemorates Veterans Day with school assembly, ham and bean supper

The Bluffton American Legion Post 382 will observe Veterans Day, Friday Nov. 11, during a 10:30 a.m. assembly at Bluffton High School

Speakers for the observance will be Bluffton American Legion Post Commander John Wagner, Misha Groman, Senior Patrol Leader of the Bluffton Boy Scouts and Morris Groman.

The assembly is for all Bluffton High School and Middle School students. The public is also invited to attend.

Bluffton's Grob Systems receives state tax credits; will expand in 2012

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority on Monday granted one of Bluffton's largest employers, Grob Systems, a $340,044 payroll tax credit on its plans to hire up to 113 new full-time jobs over seven years.

The Icon understands that average wage of the jobs will be $15 per hour, plus $3.08 per hour in benefits. They will add $3.5 million to Grob's payroll.^aEUR"^aEUR"

The company designs and builds equipment and production lines for the auto industry, including Ford and General Motors.

Taxes and Quickbook workshop follows Nov. 11 chamber breakfast

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will offer two free programs on Friday, Nov. 11, in the town hall. Both are in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall.

The monthly free breakfast meeting offers a breakfast provided by Richland Manor with serving at 7 a.m. The 7:30 a.m. breakfast meeting will feature Bluffton resident Jeff Sprague of Allen Economic
Development Group as the speaker.

Icon's newest advertiser will soon be Main Street's newest business

The Bluffton Icon's newest advertiser, Sielschott, Walsh, Keifer & Regula CPAs, Inc., is soon to be Main Street Bluffton's newest business.

The Lima-based CPA firm will open an office in the former Little Red Barn, 113 N. Main St., on Dec. 1. The Little Red Barn flower shop has relocated.
