Leaf pickup in Bluffton will begin the week of Oct. 24 and will continue through Nov. 18, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.

"The village service department will begin at one end of town and complete a sweep of the village before starting over," said Mehaffie.

"As always, residents are welcome to take their leaves to the brush dump on Spring Street. Trash cans are available at the site to dispose of plastic bags used to haul the leaves," he said. "Leaves should not be left in bags at the brush dump.

Bluffton Center For Entrepreneur's newest client is Tracy Branan of Photography Letter Art. Branan creates one-of-a-kind photographic montages that feature "found" letters combined into a word or phrase. Her customized products have unique qualities, making them fun, sentimental, andinspiring.

Photography Letter Art allows Branan to connect with customers personally. She travels extensively to take photographs in urban, rural and natural settings, so that she can provide a wide range of image choices. Customers can also provide letter photos of their own.

Several fall Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce programs are in the planning stages. In addition, the chamber, in conjunction with Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs, is beginning to add workshops covering specific topics, which follow some of the monthly breakfast meetings.

For a moment we thought it was 1960. The Icon spotted this 76 ZT plate in downtown Bluffton. In a previous Ohio license plate system, ZT plates were available only in Pandora. Someone kept number 76 for a very long time.

It didn't rain 40 days and 40 nights in September, but it rained 20 of September's 30 days and total rainfall measured 7.66 inches during the month. That compares with September's normal average of 2.95 inches, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.
