Women's Entrepreneurial Network (WEN) - open to women and men - will meet at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, in Jeanne's Kitchen, 112 Vine St., Bluffton.
Linda Everhardt-Kardux, president of the organization, said that the meeting is open to all business owners, sole proprietors, sales people, people thinking about starting a business and people looking for a career change.
"The network is all about helping each other's businesses grow through monthly meetings," she said.

The largest snowflake ever to land in Bluffton may be viewed as it hangs from a light pole on Main Street in front of Common Grounds and The Food Store. We recommend viewing it after dark.
Despite being August, the snowflake will remain there for a few weeks. The snowflake is part of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce's new holiday lighting plan for Main Street. (see story below)

On July 26 Pandora village council passed the third reading of a resolution allowing annexation of the St. John Mennonite Church property into the village.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs welcomes Jeff Compton, founder of Ottawa-based FluentPoint, as its new non-resident affiliate. Compton's company improves workplace learning through instructional design, course production and training distribution services, primarily e-learning courses.
FluentPoint also helps businesses enhance their PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials.
