Grades 3 to 6 boys' basketball clinic Saturday at BHS

Bluffton High School boys' basketball program is offering a parent/son clinic on Saturday, May 28, according to Todd Boblitt, BHS coach.

There is no cost to be held from noon to 2 p.m. in the middle school gym.

The event will include skills, drills and fun competitions offered for boys, grades 3-6, and their parent by Boblitt.

"All you need is comfortable clothing and appropriate gym shoes. Hope to see you in the gym. For questions, call 419-358-4206," he added.

Former presidential helicopter pilot Bluffton Memorial Day speaker

Bluffton's traditional Memorial Day observation is Monday, May 30.

A parade and ceremony is sponsored by the Bluffton American Legion Post 382. The parade forms at 9:15 a.m. in front of the town hall and begins at 9:30 a.m. Parade units include the Bluffton High School marching band, scout and Legion members.

The parade will conclude at Maple Grove Cemetery. A service there is planned at 10 a.m. Don Klinger, a former U.S. Marine Corps Presidential Helicopter pilot, is the speaker.

American Girl tea party at Senior Center on June 30

The Bluffton Senior Center is having an American Girl Tea Party at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 30. The theme of this year's tea is "Pioneer Girl" in conjunction with Bluffton's sesquicentennial celebration.

The tea is designed for girls eight years old and older along with their mothers and grandmothers, but everyone is welcome. An adult must accompany children under eight.

There is time for sharing, learning and we will make a craft together. Everyone wins a prize just for coming and there is a grand prize given at the end of the tea.
