Former Bluffton residents Rev. Dan and Edna Dalke will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary on Jan. 22 with a family dinner. On May 20 Rev. Dalke will commemorate 60 years since his ordination to the Christian ministry. He is presently serving as chaplain of the Pleasant View Nursing Home and Retirement Center at Inman, Kansas.
Communication will reach them at 701 Center St., # 73 Inman, KS 67546. The Dalkes were first residents in the Bluffton Ebenezer Mennonite Church's new parsonage, while he served as the church's pastor for 18 years from 1961-1979.
RS Kicks Off 2011 Tax Season with Deadline Extended to April 18; Taxpayers Impacted by Recent Tax Breaks Can File Starting in Mid- to Late February
The Internal Revenue Service opened the 2011 tax filing season by announcing that taxpayers have until April 18 to file their tax returns. The IRS reminded taxpayers impacted by recent tax law changes that using e-file is the best way to ensure accurate tax returns and get faster refunds.
Citizens National Bank recently introduced Personal Payment service, which enables customers to send and receive money securely and electronically in as little as one business day.
Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members will sport this bright red and white membership window sticker in their windows in 2011. The membership stickers will be handed out at the Jan. 14 chamber breakfast. Members not in attendance will have stickers mailed to them.
Traditionally the stickers were green and white. The chamber changed that color scheme in recent years. The 2010 membership sticker is blue and white.
