Peanut Brittle making will start Monday, November 1 at 8 a.m. and continue every Monday thru November 22. We need at least 30 volunteers to make the candy and some of our volunteers from two years ago are no longer able to help.

We are looking for NEW PEOPLE to come and help. Please let Tonya or Roger Edwards know if you are able to help even if only for one week. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We missed it last year. We hope to make up for it this year.

For the first of half of October the Bluffton area saw more than a 40 degree swing, with a high of 84 and low of 41. Thanks to Guy Verhoff for the local detailss.

Within the next two weeks, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1 is expected to open the first Restricted Crossing U-Turn (RCUT) in northwest Ohio on U.S. 30 in Allen County.

When Thayer Road at U.S 30 is reopened to traffic, motorists will find that direct access across U.S. 30 is no longer available. The RCUT will divert the Thayer Road traffic downstream on U.S. 30 where they can make a legal U-turn in a designated lane to access the opposite side of the highway.

The first 11 days of Bluffton area weather from Guy Verhoff of Pandora, Ohio.

When will our furnaces run next?

State Route 235 between State Route 103 and County Road 24 will close for approximately two days (estimated Oct 12-15) for a culvert replacement according to the Ohio Department of Transportation’s October 7 Hancock County construction update.

Detour information will be released later.
